[NFBCS] question about wifi hotspots

Good morning Elizabeth:

I will endeavor to answer your question to the best of my ability. To begin with, I had always assumed that the ability to use one's iPhone as a personal Wi-Fi hot spot was something supported by the iPhone and not the carrier. I guess my assumption is wrong.😊

For your information, I am on the T-Mobile network, and so far, the hot spot seems to be working for me. I don't use it that much, but when I need it, it's nice to have.

So, my question back to you is what kind of data plan are you on, does it have limits, and have you been told by your carrier explicitly that you can't activate personal hot spot with your iPhone?

If you want to carry on this discussion privately, I can be reached at chong.curtis at gmail.com.

With kind regards,

Curtis Chong

Subject: [NFBCS] question about wifi hotspots

Good morning all,

I always get great advice when I ask a question on this list. So, here goes.
My current cell phone plan doesn't include an option for using my iPhone as
a hotspot, but I'm looking at upgrading my data plan. Is it best to do
that, or purchase one of those small hotspot devices? I've looked at a
couple, and I don't think that they are accessible.
I'm looking for recommendations and advice.

Thanks in advance.

Liz
