Maybe we are just wasting your time, but you might try turning the virtual cursor off completely with JAWSKEY and the letter z and then tab through the page.  This is another method that has occasionally worked for me.  Also, if you are going to run into this a lot, it is worth seeing if another browser works better.  Even though Microsoft Edge is using what they call the Chromium code, I have found cases where Edge and Chrome act differently.  I've even had situations where Internet Explorer worked better than Edge or Chrome, although that happens less and less.

This kind of thing is very frustrating.  Good luck.
