[NFBCS] Ironic Bug With Microsoft 365

Hi Curtis,

A long time ago I had a problem with Outlook composing messages that people who were not using screen readers could not read. I found out that the text was Ivery on White, which is what JAWS said when I checked with JAWS key F. So, my blind co-workers and friends could read my messages and the sighted ones could not. 
I was not sure how this got changed. So, maybe this is what is happening.

Are you saying this will make the text visible visually?

Not a perfect answer but it may work until there is a fix.
When in the text of an e-mail hig CTRL+a this will select all text.  Now I believe the selected / hightly text should be readable.

Not sure if this is related, but after getting the latest updates today, when I replied to a message, I couldn't type anything in the message body.
Turned out that , under file>Office Account>Themes, the background got set to [no background].  Once I changed it something else everything went back to working.

Apparently, there is a recent update to Microsoft 365 which blanks out the message screen in Outlook. While JAWS can read the contents of messages, people who need to see them cannot. The folks at the Disability Answer Desk have asked me to check back with them because their engineers need to figure out what has happened. They are getting a number of calls about this problem.

 

My computer is afflicted with this problem, so if I need to ask a reader to look at something, guess what. They won't be able to.
