One thing to consider is whether your JAWS has fallen behind your Microsoft Office product. Even if you have a “perpetual license rather than one that is purchased annually, security updates may have been downloaded that disrupt how it works with your screen reader. Using an up to date version of your screen reader might resolve some of the issues.
