Use the Word Find and Replace function, and in the word to find field, type
^g. In the second edit area, type nothing or space. Then press Change All.

The subject explains my questions. What is the keystroke to delete a 
picture from a Word document? Can I delete them all at once or do I have 
to delete them one at a time? I converted a PDF manual with lots of 
pictures that I don't need.
