[NFBCS] NVDA with Ubuntu

Hi Brian,

I'm not sure if I am using a virtual machine. I'm not using a Linux screenreader like Orca. When I boot up my computer and log in, NVDA starts and I get the usual Windows startup messages. The last message is something like "welcome to Ubuntu." I sometimes get messages that it is installing new components. I don't know where it gets them because I am running with everything on a local host. The only time I update things is when
I use GitHub repositories. I meet with school staff using Zoom and that isn't a problem. I shut the computer down and restarted it and now things are
Working again. 
I suspect the problem is temporary. Terminal emulation is always finicky. I worked as a mainframe programmer for 26 years and I had to cross my fingers every time I updated JAWS or their was a mainframe operating system update. I used a very old terminal emulation software AttachMate which is the only one Freedom
Scientific supported for mainframes, and they barely supported it. As a result, I approach every new terminal setup with trepidation.

Are you running Ubuntu within a virtual machine or natively? I am so curious to know how you were able to get NVDA to work in Ubuntu at all. Can you explain how you are accessing Ubuntu and what you are trying to do exactly?
