[NFBCS] Suggestions for an accessible notetaking application

I have two thoughts here. First, since you're juggling multiple research papers, I'd suggest using judicious use of folders in File Explorer and headings in Microsoft Word. You can jump quickly between headings in Microsoft Word by toggling quick keys on with JAWS+z and then jumping from heading to heading by using the letter 'h', the number keys and the shift key to go backwards. You can easily insert headers by hitting control+alt+number. I can answer more specific questions if you have them and want to pursue this idea.

I'm not sure Google Keep is the answer for you, especially if you'll be using it on a PC. I'd think the notes would end up being too granular, and just working with the Google Keep interface through a browser with a screen reader will just be too tedious. It's been a while since I've used Google Keep on a PC through the web, so things may have improved in this area.

Another option, similar to Google Keep would be One Note. It's gotten much more accessible with newer version of One Note. You'd still be able to use headings and other objects, like lists and tables, in your notes. You'd be able to organize your notes by notebooks, sections and pages. I think I also saw subpages recently as well. If you want more granularity and hierarchical organization then File Explorer and Word may still be the way to go. If three levels of hierarchy is enough though, this may also be a worthwhile solution.

My method is very simple.  I just open Notepad, scribble whatever notes I want, then save with some meaningful name.  Maybe it's too simple for your needs, but it works for me.
