Welcome to your weekly update from the Braillists Foundation.

Introducing Linux with a Braille Display: Tuesday at 7:30PM
Linux: it powers everything from laptops to toasters, braille displays
to coasters. You may have heard of the world’s most popular operating
system if you follow technology related news, but what is it and how
do you get started exactly?

In the second of our computer science themed Masterclasses, we’ll be
exploring how to get started using Linux with technologies that you’ll
already be familiar with. We’ll start by getting access to a test
system to experiment with, then introduce everyone to a few basic
commands that will allow us to perform some basic tasks. As always,
there will be plenty of time for all of your questions towards the end
of the class.
