Hi John,

I agree with you that Google Doc's accessibility is unnecessarily complex.
It essentially has two modes. From the issues you are describing it sounds
like you are in its default mode, where it runs its own screen reader so to
speak. The other mode is called Braille mode, and can be turned on in
accessibility settings under the tools menu. In my view it is incorrectly
named, as it actually envolves a propper ARIA implementation for Docs,
which I find to work better with screen readers regardless if one is using
Braille or not. With Braille mode, you should for example, be able to do a
normal say-all, and also use your screen reader's own keys to navigate
tables, etc. You should also be able to explore the document in brows mode.
