Changing my default browser in Windows did the trick, and now I know what to
do. Thanks!

Tracy:

You said in your email:

" But I only want to change the browser Outlook uses, so wouldn't it be an
Outlook setting?"

Outlook only gives you two choices: your default browser or Microsoft Edge.
Chrome is not a choice. The only way to get Chrome to come up when you
activate a link is to set Chrome as your default browser.

Cordially,

Curtis Chong

Hi Tracy:

In Outlook, go to File > Options > Advanced. Tab across to the combo box
open links in Outlook. There are two choices: default browser or Edge.

Kind regards,

Curtis Chong

Windows 10.

But I only want to change the browser Outlook uses, so wouldn't it be an
Outlook setting?

Now, when I enter on a link in an email, it uses Firefox, and I want it to
use Chrome.

Hello Tracy:

The procedure for changing this Windows system setting differs depending on
your operating system. Are you using Windows 10 or 11? Once we know that,
perhaps we can be of help. You might also contact Microsoft about this given
that this is what their experts really know how to do quite nicely.

Kind regards,

I want to change my default browser in Outlook 2019 from Firefox to Chrome.

I Googled and got 2 answers, but I don't find the menus the answers talk
about. They both say to start from the File menu and get to advanced
options, but I've tried and don't find anything about setting the browser.

Anyone know where to find what I want?

Thanks.

Tracy
