<div dir="ltr"><div>150F is hot for an "idle" CPU. But any modern CPU is not going to let you burn it up. It'll slow down if it gets too hot 
(called "thermal throttling")

Was the battery life suddenly dropped from close to 10 hours, down to <br>
not quite to before there was a critical need to plug the machine in. <br>
This is a three-year-old MacBook Pro. I think the only problem here is <br>
that during the height of the pandemic, this machine got used for <br>
everything. Maybe it was used quite heavily. And I may just be reaching <br>
a point where the machine is just plain worn out from overuse <br>
potentially. Not to mention the software is nothing like it was three <br>
years ago. I know that may sound crazy, but let's face it computer <br>
software regardless of the operating system over time meaning when new <br>
versions come out tend to make more demands on the computer's hardware. <br>
One must keep coming up with things if your corporate America to keep <br>
people buying. Any thoughts?<br>

Everyone should be aware that I am using dictation software to create <br>
this email due to 1/3 disability that is not obvious. I have a written <br>
expression disorder. Meaning there will be is something off up there <br>
that prevents me from spelling properly at the hearing difficulty on top <br>
of it all meaning that I'm deaf blind and you have a recipe for all <br>
kinds of problems. If I don't use the software. So here's hoping that <br>
this is understandable?<br>
