At that time, it was caused by popup blockers. I changed some security settings, and the problem went away until last year. I can’t remember or find out where or which security settings I might change to make the problem go away. I am using Windows 11 with JAWS and NVDA. I am using Windows 11 with the latest update to JAWS 2024. One thing to try is to recycle JAWS to see if anything changes. A question I would have is whether you are noticing a pattern. Are there websites where this problem happens all the time? If I try reading a line with insert-up-arrow, it just says blank. Same if I try reading with the Jaws cursor.
