Thanks for reaching out.<br>
First, I don't agree with what you've said about the folks on this
list; many have been very gracious about helping you when you
reached out. The lack of a website for NFBCS doesn't mean that
they're not effective. Bits is a much larger more expansive group
with more volunteers and people to focus on different issues.<br>
<br>
Also, as I noted in my message about a second list, NFBCS (to my
knowledge) was never supposed to be a computer users group or
list. It's touted and for a long time was a place for developers,
students, IT and other professionals to ask questions that aren't
tech support. My point in creating the thread this morning wasn't
to try to bash NFBCS, but instead to try to find a way to cut down
some of the noise and constant tech support questions.</p>

ended up joining the Blind Information and Technology
Specialists, (BITS_) computer user group. This group does way
more than does the NFBCS and has specialized lists like the
one you suggested. Unlike the NFBCS this group has numerous

create their own website without getting into catfights over
it. BITS can run circles around them any day. Perhaps you
could present your idea to Jeff Bishop their President. I wish
I didn’t have to say this but it’s the truth. BITS can run
circles around the NFBCS any day. I’ll leave you to take it
