PST files contain email folders which might contain decades of historical emails--as would be the case in any large organization. The New Outlook, as of now, is not able to add email messages to these PST files. I read somewhere that there are plans to deal with this problem, but so far, I have not seen any evidence of progress being made here.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>What I find even more frustrating is that while the New Outlook can connect to Yahoo email accounts, the classic Outlook still cannot as of today.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>Kind regards,<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>Curtis Chong<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><div><div style='border:none;border-top:solid #E1E1E1 1.0pt;padding:3.0pt 0in 0in 0in'><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'>From:</span></b><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'> Curtis Chong <chong.curtis@gmail.com> <br><b>Sent:</b> Friday, May 1, 2026 9:18 AM<br><b>To:</b> 'NFB in Computer Science Mailing List' <nfbcs@nfbnet.org><br><b>Cc:</b> 'Elizabeth Campbell' <batescampbell@gmail.com><br><b>Subject:</b> RE: [NFBCS] switching to the new Outlook<o:p></o:p></span></p></div></div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>Hello Liz:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANY BLIND PERSON USING A SCREEN READER SWITCH TO THE NEW OUTLOOK!<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>(I wrote that in all caps</span><span style='font-family:"Segoe UI Emoji",sans-serif'>😊</span><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>.)<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Arial",sans-serif'>The New Outlook feels very much like a program that is still under development. Since it is, in effect, a web-based application, you have to be concerned about when you should use the JAWS Virtual Cursor and when it is better to turn it off. Also, some features that we have grown accustomed to in the Classic Outlook do not exist in the New Outlook. Consider, for example, the handling of attachments. In the Classic Outlook, you can use the standard copy and paste functions to copy attachments between an email message and File Explorer.
