La Federación Nacional de Ciegos anuncia

El Liderazgo y la abogacía en Washington, D.C.,  del 2010, el programa (de 
LEY)
de la Federación,

En la que Participa la Voz de la Juventud Ciega de Norte América

Para la Juventud, de grados 6-9, o desde 12 a 16 años de edad.

16-20 de abril del 2010

Washington, D.C., y Baltimore, Maryland
Esta experiencia de cuatro días proveerá a estudiantes ciegos, y de baja
visión,

una oportunidad única de explorar los funcionamientos internos del

gobierno de nuestro país, su historia, y su cultura, mientras que se 
hospedan
en la

sede nacional de la Federación Nacional de Ciegos, en

Baltimore, Maryland. Además del aprendizaje de base sobre esfuerzos de la
legislación, y

cómo se aprueban los proyectos de ley, y cómo varía la causa de la 
legislación,

de la ceguera  . Los participantes aprenderán más sobre

la labor de la abogacía para los individuos ciegos, y los recursos
disponibles

para los estudiantes y los adultos ciegos.

Los Puntos Culminantes del Programa incluyen:

* Visitas a los sitios históricos en Washington, D.C.

* Reuniones con, y presentaciones de, líderes influyentes del gobierno

* presentaciones de líderes influyentes  del grupo de abogacía

en la ceguera, el cual, es el más grande del país

* Viajes de la Federación Nacional de Ciegos a la sede nacional

* una visita al Centro Internacional de Braille y de Tecnología,
el laboratorio más grande de la tecnología accesible para los ciegos

Detalles del Programa:

* Costo: Habrá un honorario de $250 para los estudiantes aceptados. El resto
de los

costos incluyendo el transporte, la habitación, y el hospedaje, serán
proporcionados

* Todos los estudiantes aceptados deben ser acompañados por un padre de
familia, un acompañante,

un profesor, o un guía y consejero ciego o de baja visión, de su estado de 
origen

* Aceptarán a no más de veinticinco participantes

de todo el país
