 Saludos Amigos:

Visité a Ray y Diane en el hospital
hoy. En resumen, no hay cambios importantes. Ray continúa estable, con un
paso adelante
que ocurrió en la tarde de ayer. Ray estaba fuera del
respirador durante unas dos horas en
la tarde. Están tratando de forma gradual
de apartarlo del ventilador y ver cómo de bien puede
mantener su propia respiración. Continúa
inconsciente, salvo que parece reconocernos
agarrándonos la mano cuándo cojemos la suya,
algunas veces vuelve la cabeza hacia nuestras
voces. Estos son pasos pequeños, pero pasos en la
dirección correcta. La otra cosa buena es que
no ha sufrido ningún retroceso más desde la semana pasada.

Una vez más, Diane expresa sus sentimientos de gratitud, de todo corazón
por todas sus oraciones y pensamientos. Ella las necesita
tanto cómo siempre. Muchos de ustedes han
respondido a mis mensajes y les agradezco por sus
respuestas. Son muy numerosas y es
difícil para mí responder a todos y cada uno
de ustedes. Por favor sepan que apreciamos mucho sus
Mensajes y yo, se los paso a Diane y le digo a Rayque mucha gente, muchos en
todo el país lo
están pensando y orando por él.

Greetings Friends:

I visited with Ray and Diane in the hospital
today.  In short, there is no significant
change.  Ray remains stable with one step forward
occurring yesterday afternoon.  Ray was off the
respirator for about two hours in the
afternoon.  They are attempting to gradually
remove him from the vent and see how well he can
maintain his own breathing.  He remains
unconscious except that he does seem to recognize
us by gripping our hands when we hold his and
some time turning his head towards our
voices.  These are tiny steps but  steps in the
right direction.  The other good thing is that he
has not suffered any further set backs since early last week.

Again, Diane expresses her heart felt gratitude
for all your prayers and thoughts.  She needs
them just as much as ever.  Many of you have
responded to my posts and I thank you for your
responses.  They are quite numerous and it is
difficult for me to respond to each and every one
of you.  Please know we appreciate very much your
messages and I pass them onto Diane and I tell
Ray that many, many folks across the country are
thinking of and praying for him.
