¿SABÍAN QUÉ?
. La Certificación Nacional en Braille Literario, NCLB es la única prueba que está específicamente diseñada para maestros y auxiliares que trabajan con niños y adultos ciegos. Todas las distintas certificaciones nacionales son destinadas a los transcriptores que deben ser expertos, tanto en el código braille como en el formato.

  a.. Representantes del Consejo Americano de Ciegos, American Council of the Blind, la Fundación Americana para Ciegos, American Foundation for the Blind, la Asociación para la Educación y Rehabilitación de los Ciegos y con Discapacidad Visual, Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired, la Asociación de Veteranos Ciegos, Blinded Veterans Association, el Consejo Canadiense de Ciegos, Canadian Council of the Blind, el Instituto Nacional Canadiense para Ciegos, Canadian National Institute for the Blind, la Federación Nacional de Ciegos, National Federation of the Blind, y El Servicio Nacional de Bibliotecas para Ciegos y Físicamente Impedidos, se reunieron para encontrar una manera de que los maestros que trabajan con las personas ciegas puedan demostrar inequívocamente su conocimiento del braille, y la Certificación Nacional en Braille Literario, NCLB fué el resultado.

La certificación adicional, de Certificación Nacional en Braille Literario, NCLB, garantizará a los empresarios, administradores escolares, colegas, consumidores, familias, y a otros profesionales, que ustedes poseen conocimientos de braille y aptitudes para cumplir con sus responsabilidades profesionales.

  a.. The NCLB is the only test that is specifically designed for teachers and aids who work with blind children and adults. All other national certifications are intended for transcribers who must be expert in both the braille code and formatting.

  a.. The NCLB test was originally maintained and administered by The National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped before the national Blindness Professional Certification Board (NBPCB) assumed responsibility for it. 
  a.. The additional NCLB certification will ensure employers, school administrators, colleagues, consumers, families, and other professionals that you possess proficient braille knowledge and skills to meet your professional responsibilities.
