Learn about Accessible Absentee Voting During the 2020 National 
Convention of the National Federation of the Blind

As the coronavirus pandemic continues across the United States, voters 
are concerned about the potential for exposure to the virus at their 
local polling place. Absentee voting is being offered by many states as 
an alternative to in-person voting, but the paper absentee ballot is 
inaccessible to blind and low-vision voters. Three sessions during the 
2020 NFB national convention will show you how electronic ballot 
delivery systems enable a blind voter to mark their ballot privately and 
independently using a computer and access technology.
