Hello NFBF Greater Daytona Beach Chapter ,
I spoke with Joanie and Melissa. She is well now but had fallen at DB Pickles restaurant and hit her head.
Mellissa said that the hospital had given her stitches to close the cut. She also said that the stitches hurt and wished that the hospital had given her anesthesia.
I discussed problems using her walker, especially in a crowded dining room.
I suggested her staying until others had left her area, and we discussed her balance classes.
Accidental falls are dangerous. Balance classes are offered by many community organizations.
Peace and love,
Brian Edward Norton
