Subject: With a heavy heart...providing sad news...

Good morning, NFB Greater Jacksonville Chapter members,

Most of you might have already learned, but I realize that not everyone has
received the sad news that our friend and fellow chapter member, Glen E.
Baker, passed away yesterday afternoon. Glen passed away peacefully at 3:38
PM on Thursday August 22nd while being cared for at Haven Hospice in Orange
Park.

Kaye was by his side and what a wonderful blessing that Marty Miller was
present with Kaye and Glen as well.

Glen, who celebrated his 62nd birthday on August 12th, had been a member of
the National Federation of the Blind both in Arkansas and here in Florida
for many years. He served as an active Board member in both Affiliates. He
was very proud of his service to the NFB and to the blind community as a
whole.

Glen was proceeded in death by his parents, O.B. Baker and Vera Baker and by
an infant son.

Services and a celebration of life are pending, and plans will be announced
soon.

More information will follow as it becomes available.

Please keep our friend and Chapter President, Kaye Baker in your thoughts
and prayers as she navigates through this difficult time.

Respectfully,

Russ Davis,

Ph. 904-993-8433
