[NFBF-Jacksonville] August Chapter Meeting information

Greetings Greater Jacksonville Chapter:

Like Fallon, I can not believe it is almost August. It has been a little
while since we all met, and I am looking forward to getting back together on
August 3.

I have not put the agenda completely together yet, but it will come out
shortly. I just wanted to send a little message and tell you all what I know
so far.

Our chapter will meet Saturday August 3, 2024 at the Riverside Presbyterian
Apartments. The address is 1045 Oak Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204. We will
meet in person and on Zoom as usual from 10:00 A.M to around noon.

This month, we have a lot to cover.  We need to have our second reading of
our constitutional amendment, and discuss our State convention that is
coming up. We also have an idea for a new fundraiser that we want to
discuss.

As always, we will discuss upcoming events and how to gain greater
participation. 

I'm going to be painfully honest and say that 2024 has not been the best
year for Glen and me. As of now, we are in one of the most trying times of
our journey, and I don't expect the stress level to get any better.  I want
to thank everyone who has reached out to me during this time. Having said
that, the work of the National Federation of the Blind of Florida, Greater
Jacksonville Chapter must go on. That work can not be done without each and
every one of you.  I look forward to seeing everyone in the meeting ready to
discuss ideas and share ways we can make our chapter one of the best.
