Good afternoon, Sunrise and Shine Family!

On our last Sunrise and Shine with NFB-NEWSLINER, we mentioned that our
September 11th Zoom call would focus on one of the most well remembered
dates in our nation's history. The terrible events of 911 have imprinted
themselves into the minds of anyone old enough to recall them 24 years ago.
We thought that taking the time to share with one another what we remember
from that day would be a respectful thing for us to do.

Even though NFB-NEWSLINE had been around for six years when the US was
attacked and news outlets had to scramble to keep up with ever changing
developments, I must admit that I didn't use this wonderful audio
information service to keep up. I wasn't aware of NFB-NEWSLINE at the time,
(but I'm so glad I am now).

I wonder if anyone on our call tomorrow will be able to recall using
NFB-NEWSLINE to follow stories on September 11th or in subsequent days. I
imagine that hearing about that would be fascinating.

Tomorrow morning, I actually will be on an American Airlines flight from
Minneapolis in route to Dallas. I know that my thoughts will be on those who
lost their lives twenty-four years ago. Because I am not able to host Zoom
calls from 35,000 feet, I've asked Peggy Fleischer to sit in the 'Rise and
Shine host chair and to lead our very popular gathering. Please come by and
support Peggy and add your memories to the conversation.

I hope you will make time to join us tomorrow morning, it feels good to have
Sunrise and Shine back on a normal schedule of second and forth Thursdays of
each month beginning at 9:00 AM (EST).

If you haven't been to one of our calls before, joining us at 9:00 AM for
coffee or tea will give you a chance to find out what you've been missing.
We always take time for welcoming new guest speakers and participants and
for lots of warmth and laughter.

Most of us have become pretty familiar with attending meetings using the
Zoom platform over the past few years and in fact, we've been using Zoom
since we launched Rise and Shine way back on April 16th2020. If you're not
used to using Zoom or if it's still giving you difficulties, don't give up
just yet. You can access the meeting by clicking on he below listed web
link, by using the one tap mobile feature or by dialing the phone number
provided and entering the access code when prompted.

The regulars on our call are always warm and welcoming and are thrilled to
see new faces.
