Greetings to all of our members, friends and supporters,

We are excited to announce that the Greater Jacksonville Chapter of the
National Federation of the Blind of Florida will hold our monthly Chapter
meeting this Saturday, January 10th from 10:00 AM until noon. There are
several changes taking place for the upcoming meeting, that you should be
aware of. We had moved the meeting date from the customary first Saturday of
each month to this Saturday due to the new years holiday celebration taking
place last week. We also were unable to secure our normal meeting location
for this month, and with the relatively late notice of this, decided to
gather at a nearby location.

We will be gathering in the Colonial Point Condominiums clubhouse, located
at 5201 Atlantic Blvd. Jacksonville, FL. 32207. This is a convenient   and
relaxing location, but currently due to technical difficulties inside the
building, we will not have a virtual, i.e., Zoom,  component to our meeting.
We apologize to our geographically distant members, but providing a stable
reliable virtual connection would be sketchy at best.

I hope you will strongly consider joining us in person for our first
official gathering of the year. To entice you just a bit, we have made plans
to stay after the meeting concludes at noon and have pizza brought in. We
are being judicious and responsible with our limited Chapter funds, so we
are asking for those who want to dine on the tasty pizza and beverages to
chip in a bit for their share. Feel free to reply to this email if you plan
on staying for food after the Chapter meeting is over, (having a headcount
never hurts). We'll survey the room again at the beginning of the meeting.

The specific meeting information and meeting agenda are as follows:

Our meetings are open to all, and whether you are a current or former
member, or someone who wants to learn more, we hope you will join us in
person and that you will tell others about our Chapter and our warm and
welcoming organization. The National Federation of the Blind knows that
blindness is not the characteristic that defines you and we encourage you to
join us and learn how you can live the life you want.
