Hello, everyone,
Debra Davis, a community advocate here in Jacksonville, (who also is blind), recently spoke with Latoya and me about an upcoming event. She asked that we let the Chapter know about the walk scheduled for Sunday, March 15th. I am pasting below some information that she sent to me via email.
I did advise Debra that the Chapter cannot devote our financial resources to the event, as we generally do not spend monies from our treasury in support of other non-profits, iee., we cannot donate directly to the walk. If Chapter members wanted to support the walk financially they are certainly free to do so.
Some of us might want to gather together on March 15th and represent the Chapter as a walk team. I don’t know if we could have a table in the exhibit area without making a donation, but that’s something we could discuss.
Debra will be visiting with us during our Chapter meeting on Saturday, March 7th to provide us with more information and to answer questions.
Respectfully,
Russ
