We just need to concentrate on even better adaptive equipment to handle 
living in a sighted world more affectively.   Technology has come a long way 
as you know, but if we need ;help from someone sighted, it needs to be 
solved in order to be more independent.   As a crazy example, perhaps  cars 
should be available for blind people to drive or maybe there shouldn't be 
cars at all.
Just remember, all this is only my opinion and that is just how I feel.  I 
hope I came across that way.
