Hi Sherri,
Please let Kirk know he is in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy
recovery. Being in the hospital is definitely one of my least favorite
things to do, so, I hope he gets well and released very, very soon.

I would also like to let everyone know that our chapter vice-president, Mike
Lamb, has been in the hospital since Monday. It was a scheduled stay as he
underwent surgery on Monday to remove his spleen. He will probably get to
come home tomorrow, Friday, and has a bit of a recovery to get through as
his incision was pretty long and involved cutting his stomach muscles. I
spoke with him tonight and he sounded great. He has been battling some
health issues and the spleen was sort of the icing on the cake. He told me
he lost 20 pounds as a result of the surgery. I guess his spleen was as big
as a rugby ball!

So, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as well.

Have a great Friday,

Dave

Subject: [Nfbf-l] Kirk Harmon in hospital

I just want to pass on the word to the list that Kirk Harmon, a member of
the Greater Orlando chapter, has been hospitalized since Tuesday with
cellulitis of his right arm. He is diabetic and has a kidney transplant, so
they thought it best to hospitalize him and place him on IV antibiotics. He
ended up having surgery on his right arm today to remove the infected area.
He will be in the hospital a few more days, but he is doing better. Please
keep good thoughts and prayers going his way. Thank you.
Sherri
