Sherri, I would tend to disagree withy you if it were just for the legally
lind as the word "rehab" would be befitting for someone that has always
ad sight and then lost it. The Veterans Administration calls it's centers
cross the Country " Rehab centers" for just this reason! However, as a
enter addresses totally blind and such I agree that it would have been
etter addressed as you suggest! KH

think the Orientation and Adjustment Center is much more in keeping to
hat the Center does. Rehab to me has the connotation of a treatment
acility for drug abusers.

J,
he name has changed it used to be Rehabilitation Center for the Blind
then The Orientation and Adjustment Center, and now Rehabilitation
enter for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
ee RJ there is a difference, some people who are blind don't think
he center is the place for them because it is for blind people. Now
veryone will know that if you are visually impaired you can come to
he center too.

I think their are more important issues to concern our self's with.
Like the high unemployment rate, the lack of brail literacy. or the
pedestrian safety issue.
I know some people don't like the new name, but if the center is doing the
job of teaching the blind than the name doesn't matter
