If that's the case, I really can't say. However, there are several NFB groups on facebook as well - 
NFB of Louisiana, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Colorado, 
Rock County, Youth Group Puerto Rico, South Carolina, California,
Indiana Student Division, Scholarship Class of 2009, NY State Student Division, Missouri, Greater
Williamsberg, March for Independence, Nebraska - all NFB groups, just to name a few. 


In 2008, Rosy Carranza through the national office added a facebook group just for teens. No parents allowed,
only students and is monitored by the national office. It is a closed group in that teens must request to join or be
invited to join by the group moderators.

It's great that so many blindness organizations are using Facebook.  But are
they shoehorning themselves into the system  with sighted assistance?
