Kirk asked me to pass this along. It really is a cool video. I believe it was very well-presented--not the pitying mode that many of these are presented to be. A very inspiring video.

Sherri, would you please listen to this story and forward it to the NFBFL for me as I want to make sure it goes. It is really a touching story about a young man and his Fathers Love! It also makes us realize what we can do with the belief and dedication of our inner being! KH

Thanks Max, powerful stuff we can all learn from. Those with needs helping those who need. Does not matter Veteran or not, blind, deaf or otherwise disabled.

Thanks from all of us.

Greetings all,

Happy New year! As cold as it has been, it feels good to get into the new
year, doesn't it?

This video that is enclosed, was sent by a listserv that I monitor. I an
not a member of that group but, due to visual impairment and the fact that
all are keepers of their "brothers and sisters", I am allowed to receive the
posts. This is a wonderful thing and a great opportunity to learn and
receive ideas and information for the good of all (not just the visually
impaired). I cannot tell you how many times that you or your list or your
organization has informed me of an issue that has helped my "Family" (
veterans, in-laws, out-laws, friends and grandkids) ! Visual impairment
limits ones world (I don't really have to tell those of you in my blinded
veterans family or the blind & visually impaired families), but I do want
each of you to know that you or your groups/organizations broaden my
knowledge and information. I am very appreciative of that! I can't thank
you enough! I am members of most either life-time or annual and some by
birth. I just want you each to know that you are a part of my life and that
your posts are read and important to me. Actually, important to all of my
families because, often, your ideas and thoughts are shared with them! I
just wanted you to know that your being a part of this electronic world is
important and helps all of us, even though we may not be a paid member or a
by-blood family member or the in-laws or the out-laws...WE ARE OUR BROTHERS
KEEPERS and we owe it to each other (me, especially the US Marine Sergeant
in Viet Nam in my case).

We all have potential and we all should share it to help one another. I
think you will see what I mean by this video.

Best,

Max in SC
