If you look at the incidence of ROP from 1954 to 1977 it is scary because 
there weren't very many ROP kids.  They thought they cured the problem.  But 
the infant mortality went way up.  I remember reading an article in 
Scientific American showing both graphs.  It was scary.

Cured?  What a joke!  If you think a lot of dead babies is a cure, I think 
it is an outrage.
