High-speed rail is working quite nicely for Europe and Japan, minimizing the 
need to build new roads and creating far less crowded conditions. How Gov. 
Scott could think it is a sound idea to due away with this most needed 
project for Florida is totally ridiculous to me. We don't need more buses 
and cars clogging up our already crowded highways. Pretty soon we're going 
to run out of space for building new roads. 700,000 new jobs? Where are 
they?

I still encourage all of you to write and e-mail your reps and senators and 
the governor and back the proposed commuter rail system in Florida. It's a 
very 21st century idea.
