Subject: [Nfbf-l] Convention 2011: crazy 8's

Nine weeks from today, we will be checking in to the NFBF State Convention
at the Hilton Hotel in downtown St. Petersburg. I am the Pinellas Chapter
Convention Chair person. It is my job to make sure those that attend have a
good time. The theme for this year's convention is the decade of the 1980's
in remembrance and honor of our dearly departed NFB friends, David and Tammy
Anspach. It is a state wide concern that attendance at this year's
convention may be lower than usual since the National Convention is coming
to Orlando. In these poor economic times, some members may have to make a
choice between State or National conventions. The opportunity to go to
National in our own state is not one to be missed. However, we still want
you to attend our State Convention. To encourage you, we are going to play
a game.

Do you remember the card game crazy eights? Well, we are going to play
the "crazy Eighties." For the next eight weeks, I will be posting a trivia
question that has something to do with events, people, music, TV etc. in the
eighties. The first person who emails me the right answer, will receive
$8.00 in cash from our chapter. The only catch is, you can only claim your
prize if you attend the State Convention. I will post a question every
Monday for the next 8 weeks starting March 28th. I will send more
information in another post. Stay tuned! Debbie Hietala
