Dear Chefs and Cooks of Florida,
So far I have some great recipes from Kathy Davis and Tinetta Cooper. I
could still use some more submissions. Please see the specifics of what to
submit in Gary Wunder's note to me, below.
The bio can be a sentence or two, maybe a word or two about the recipe as
well. Also, if you can send me one or more photos -- again, please see
Gary's note -- if you can get them to me. Send them full-sized as I can take
up to a 10 MB attachment. The main camera on the iPhone 4 and iPhone S is 8
megapixels, so that should be just fine, or you can scan and attach a studio
photo, if you have one.
I need to send everything to Gary by next Wednesday, February 1, so the
sooner the better.
Thank you all.
Dan

Subject: Revised Instructions
In the note I sent out about a month ago asking the next several states for
recipes, I neglected to include some important information. Normally we
would like six recipes from each state. It would be helpful if we had a
short biography-- a sentence or two-- about the people making contributions
to this column. It would also be helpful if we had a high resolution photo
we could use so that contributors are recognized with a photograph. We have
traditionally asked that people not use their cell phone cameras, but the
increasing quality of these devices means that it isn't that easy anymore.
If you have a camera that is a five megapixel or better unit, that should be
sufficient for our needs. Several pictures will be better than one so that
we have some choice in what to use. I understand were photographing the
same person, but sometimes our art director and proofreader will notice that
there is something distracting in the background or the light isn't just
right.
I thank you for making this column a success. Nothing we feature gets more
compliments. Happy new year to all of you, and happy Martin Luther King
Day.
Gary
