The state of Florida does not prevent blind people from getting a carry
permit. If you take the class which is many hours and you demonstrate you
can handle a gun responsibility then you can get a permit.

The permit also allows you to carry other weapons such as a Taser and a
knife. There are many times when a person might find themselves in the
woods on horseback or hiking when having a gun would be necessary if
attacked.

I know for a fact that there are a few very responsible blind people in
Florida who have carry permits. Obviously these people understand their
rights and responsibilities under the law.

So just remember if your house is ever broken in to and you face an attacker
the police will come help long after you have been killed.
