We all need to step back, & let the process take it's course	. it's good
to express views, but this is going overboard people can disagree with out
being disagreeable. My comments are not meant for any individual, but for
all of us on this list let's try to keep the discussion civil. Joe

Give me a break Jody. Where are the liberal voices to be heard. You heard so
many zealot conservatives on this list, did you hear a liberal voice? Fox
and conservative talkshows have drowned any senseible talk on this planet.
There will be a documentary on liberal public channels, everything that is
not Fox is liberal, about how Murdock's empire silenced everyone with money.

They are too strong in the US to carry out any investigation against them.
NRA will send all their members to take care of any investigators. But they
went to the extent of bribing police, ministers and all the possible
witnesses in England. Just to increase their ratings, they went to the
extent of hacking in to the voicemail service of a dead child. Conservatives
have a history of dealing in deaths and silencing the opposing voices. There
are no bullies like conservative talk hosts who shape the opinions of other
conservatives. I know I shouldn't have said all that, but then who started
bringing irrelevant references to conservatives and liberals to the
discussion? You were perhaps expecting it, I am just obliging by stating the
irrelevant truth.
All I was trying to say in my last email was that you are free to hold your
opinion but you don't have to wear conservativism on your sleeves and throw
at us for small little things. This is NFB's forum, not that of the tea
party or NRA. I appreciate you have other identities, in addition to being a
member of NFB, but you are not supposed to promote your ideology even though
it contradicts with the interest of the blind. If there is something that
tea party or NRA proposes, or does, that may help the blind, I will welcome
the information about them on this list. But glorification of conservatives
or tea party or second amendment or patriotism, or womanism or liberlism are
all mirky territories and should be kept off list unless they are discussed
in relation to the disabilities.
It was very conservative of you to have moved the discussion about a
specific law in to a discussion about second amendment. And the informed
conservatives started lashing about second amendment and how correct it was
to carry guns. Nothing about the main issue. Kirk may kill me tomorrow and
will say he killed me in self defense and the police will not arrest him.
This misguided law has a specific significance for the blind. Two blind
people, not in good terms, both with guns meet each other during NFBF
convention. One shoots the other and says I thought he was going to shoot
me. The self defense argument will be self evident and the assailant will
attend the convention happily. It is a hypothetical scenario and very dumb
people will do such a thing. but is there a dearth of such people in the US?

You have to belong to NRA cult and drink a bit to exercise your so-called
second amendment right. And there you go. Who would like to let their guns
rust when they have a purpose in life? I am trying to analyze the situation
from the perspective of the blind and NFB, you can call it liberal or
demonic or unptriotic or unchristian or whatever else you choose but that
doesn't resolve the problem caused by the law rammed against us by a
conservative Congress.
Expressing differences of opinion is very healthy for a civilized democratic
society. But limiting discussions to liberalism or conservativism, as if
there were just two branches of thought, will not serve our purpose. So, in
order to respond to your email where you suggest leaving the list, I will
urge you to stay and keep contributing your valuable thoughts about
blindness related issues. We may not be fellows in politics, but we are
fellow federationists. On this list we should discuss about what unites us.

Thanks for reading.
