Hello Federation Family,

“Better late than never, better late than not at all!” as Doctor
Schlossman; Daytona State College Psychology professor would say.

•	Lenora Marten tell Larry that I got the package with the raffle
tickets and I know that Greater Daytona Beach chapter will do its part
to make this NFBF state fundraiser a success.
•	Congratulations to the newly elected board of the Greater
Jacksonville Chapter. “What a great Team”
•	The NFB/ Greater Daytona Beach Chapter held its annual White Cane
Safety Day and Pedestrian Awareness Event on Saturday October 13, 2012
at the Daytona Beach Resort and Conference Center. Over 100 people
attended this event which consisted of a breakfast buffet, general
assembly rally in the Tides A Ballroom, community forum on white cane
safety law and pedestrian awareness, issuing of proclamations by state,
county and city government dignitaries, along with a gathering on the
streets of North Atlantic Avenue & Plaza Drive where the Greater
Daytona Beach Chapter members held a peaceful demonstration as the
Police chief Mike Chitwood and city commissioner Edith Shelly joined in
with the many that attended to do safe street crossings and blind trust
walks as Fox News 35 Orlando covered the event. For more information
check out the NFB/ GDB chapter Facebook page for detailed video,
pictures and audio coverage.

Practice an Attitude of Gratitude,
Peter Cerullo / President
