Beyond Blindness is in Palm Beach County. I can tell you a few things
I know. On their literature the give teh public, it states many
services that they do not provide at all. Such as counseling, they
even have a name of a friend of mine who is a counselor, stating she is
working for them...she is not. They are planning a blind fest and
asked our chapter to be in charge of a walk. It was stated taht if we
wanted to put up a table it would cost us $250. When asked if we get
part of what would be raised in the walk, the answer was no. It was
stated that the blind fest is a fundraiser for only Beyond Blindness.
In the program to my knowledge, I only know of 4 blind people who are
in the program. There where more who dropped out due to conflicts with
program.
