Dear Partners,

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) recently released
proposed regulations
  to govern Navigators and in-person Assisters.

Comments are due to HHS by Monday May 6. Community Catalyst has
prepared this template
to assist state consumer advocates in responding to this proposed rule.

Overall, the regulations are positive. We strongly encourage our state 
partners to respond in support of many of the provisions. It is 
important we submit
comments to HHS to ensure that the strong conflict of interest 
provisions, cultural competency and accessibility requirements, and 
training standards remain
in the final regulations. HHS will hear from numerous interest groups 
and we will need to speak up in support of these critical provisions.
