SportsAbility April 11-13

SportsAbility is a program where families and friends can all recreate
together. All abilities and all ages are welcome.  Assistive equipment
enables people to focus on what they CAN do. SportsAbility utilizes
hands-on training to help people with disabilities  become more
comfortable and confident in getting out and being active. Everyone is
encouraged to come out and see what is possible and realize there are
no boundaries too great to overcome!  For more information go to

4/11, 6-8pm Miracle Field in Messer Park: SportsAbility kicks off with
baseball and lawn games on Thursday night. See what Miracle Sports is
all about! Free thanks to your sponsors.

4/12, 10am-2pm TCC’s Lifetime Sports Complex: Friday features
accessible, inclusive indoor activities, games, entertainment by
Gretchen Everhart Choir, Pyramid Singers, Dancers, and Rock Band, a
martial arts demonstration, and a Disability Resource Expo. The
Disability Resource Expo gives people the ability to ask questions,
receive information, and learn about the latest in products and
services. Free thanks to your sponsors.

4/12, 5:30-8:30pm Active Leisure for Life Banquet (tickets $30/person
or $50/couple) Friday evening at the TCC’s Workforce Development
Banquet Hall. Enjoy an evening of dinner, a beautiful acoustic guitar
performance by Carlos & Carlos Duo, and a silent auction. This year’s
keynote speaker is comedian, Derrick Tennant.

4/13, 10am – 3pm Ochlockonee River State Park:  Saturday’s activities
include sit water-skiing, kayaking, sailing, SCUBA, archery, swimming,
pontoon boat rides, horseback riding, a nature trail ride featuring
three interpretive stations (moonshine, worm grunting, and turpentine)
and much more. A free shuttle from the CK Steele Plaza in Tallahassee
is available leaving at 9 & 10 AM and returning at 3 & 4 PM.
