New legislation concerning parental rights and your child's education was passed in 2013. Please join us for an overview of SB 1108. Highlights of the law will be shared and how this law will impact your child's education.

Cathy Bishop serves as a Senior Educational Program Director for the Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services (BEESS), Florida Department of Education (DOE). Ms. Bishop joined the DOE in 1989. During her tenure at DOE she has served in a variety of capacities including coordinator for the infants and toddlers program for children with disabilities (now known as Early Steps), administrator of the Prekindergarten Early Intervention Program, and supervisor of compliance monitoring for BEESS.
