[Nfbf-l] Mopping

Hey Pat,

My kitchen is small and I do not own a mop. I wash the floor on hands and knees. Once a month I use a hand held steam cleaner, which makes me know the floor is really clean. Most of the floor is always covered with a 4x5' throw rug in front of the sink and my main prep area is covered by this large, washed often, rug. A smaller rug is in front of the fridge.

When kids and dog ruled, <g> , I had wall to wall carpet installed. I had carpet cleaning company come and clean. I was FREE AT LAST!! It might an option for you? Can buy a piece of indoor-outdoor carpet and just lay it down, I've done that too.

I know many who love their Swiffer.

Love doing floors, don't we? lolz. For me, it's my most detested chore! :) Here in south Florida some floor cleaning must be done every day and doing it on hands and knees is faster and easier for me. Forgot to mention I use small hand held vacuum, Shark, to *sweep* the floor too! most days.

Geesh, now I'm tired just thinking about all this! Well, one good thing, my floor got attention already today.

My whole house is ceramic tile so the hands and knees method can take its toll on the old bod if you know what I meanb... The problem I see with using a mop is its easy to miss a spot or two, unless one develops a method of where they are at all times.
