[Nfbf-l] Something fun for the National Federation of the Blind Convention Board Meeting

As you may know, there is a meeting of the national board of directors before the general sessions start. As you may also know, it is the duty of the president of the hosting affiliate to welcome all federation embers to the hosting city. I have been pleased to perform this duty in two of the previous conventions. 

I have tried yo make each Welcome fun and memorable. With your help, this year's Welcome will be ver the top! 

I am willing to bet that most of you have heard the song "Happy" by Pharrell Williams. I have taken the liberty of modifying the lyrics to the song for the purposes of the NFB and this convention. Here are my new lyrics:

"Happy"
(Special version for  2014 National Federation of the Blind Convention)

"Because I'm happy...
Clap along if you want this convention to raise the roof.
Because I'm happy...
Clap along if you feel the Federation is the truth. 
Because I'm happy..,
Clap along if you know what the NFB means to you. 
Because I'm happy...
Clap along if you want yo live the life you choose!"

I will ask half of the group to sing the "Because I'm happy..." Part while the other half sings the "clap along..." lines. 

I hope most of you will be in the Florida caucus this afternoon, in Salon 4 on the second floor, at 6 PM. Maybe we can practice leading our musical welcome on this caucus!
