Subject: [Nfbf-l] Read Across America: Florida Outreach Center

On Monday, March 3, 2014, The Florida Outreach Center for the Blind (FOCB)
joined the National Education Association to celebrate Read Across America
Day and Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Any time reading is being celebrated, you know
that FOCB will be there proclaiming our love of Braille. Children enjoyed a
story by Dr. Seuss and a birthday party. The Center celebrated children’s
literacy by emphasizing the importance of Braille. We helped show the world
that Braille readers are everywhere and spread the message that Braille
rocks! "You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and
read with a child."
