> New Report Finds Students with Disabilities Have Increased Suspension Rates
> A new report, “Are We Closing the School Discipline Gap,” released from the Center of Civil Rights at UCLA found that there are gross disparities in the use of out-of-school suspension experienced by students with disabilities and those from historically disadvantaged racial, ethnic, and gender subgroups. The report found that 1 in 5 students with disabilities were given out-of-school suspensions during the 2011-2012 school year, almost twice the rate of other students. Learn more about the report from UCLA, or read on from Disability Scoop.
