Hello!  This is a post that has been shared on the Florida Deaf Blind
Association in an effort to gain funding for the Florida Support Service
Providers Program.  We currently provide workshops to train SSPs but we are
not able to provide the services due to lack of funding.  We are working on
this so we are expanding our requests not only to our members to be ALL
Floridians who have combined vision and hearing loss.  The FSSP services
will be provided State Wide and to ALL Floridians who need that service.  
 
Please help us by sharing this email and taking a step forward by contacting
your state legislators!

Here is the information that I found for all of us to contact our State
Legislators.  I plan to write and meet my senator and representatives.  I
hope more will do the same.like Helen Keller said "Alone we can do little,
together we can do much'! 
 
Let's lift our voice in unity!!!
 
Florida Deaf Blind Association needs your help.  It has been suggested to us
to have our members contact their State Legislators.  What we need help for
is to gain funding for the Florida Support Service Providers (FSSP) program.
Once we receive funding then we can begin to provide the services. 
 
Below are some links to information about your state legislators. However,
before you click, please be sure to contact your local Supervisor of
Elections office to be sure who your State Senator and Representatives are.
 
Once you do this, then click on the link below and write an email or letter.
The more these legislators are aware of this program or other needs that you
might have, then the more they will be likely to pass effective laws for
better resources for those of us who are Deaf Blind.
