Good Morning Fellow Federationists,

First of all I want to thank Tom and Debby Ryan and the
members of the Broward Chapter for their hard work in hosting the 2015 state
convention. Tom and Beb, I know you guys put in many hours doing your best
to coordinate plans for the convention. Thank you so very much. Tom, you did
a terrific job introducing the head table at the banquet and for filling in
for Marion at times during our auction. It isn't easy to be the host chapter
for a state convention. I can personally attest to this considering how much
work went into hosting the 2014 convention here in Daytona Beach.

It was so good to see old friends and to meet new members
for the first time. I was particularly happy to see Jim and Kim Ellsworth
and Jim, what a blessing it was to know that you are stronger and in
remission with your battle with cancer. I didn't get to attend the
technology seminar but I'm sure it went well with you guys heading it up.

I want to personally thank Jim Ellsworth and Dan Hicks for
their leadership over the years. It isn't always easy to step aside so that
others can take our place. The membership is obviously looking for new
leaders and for giving the opportunity for young leaders to emerge. We are
blessed to have such a vibrant student division. Paul you have done a
stellar job in growing the membership of FABS. Many affiliates are not so
fortunate. After all, if we don't step back and turn over the reins to a
younger generation we would be in big trouble in future years. Once again,
let me express my profound appreciation to Dan and Jim for your dedication
and leadership.

A new day is dawning for the NFB of Florida and I think it
is exciting. I extend my warmest congratulations to those who were elected
to guide our affiliate forward. Denise, you will do a wonderful job as our
state president. You will have help from not only your board of directors
but from the rank and file membership as well. Congratulations to all who
were elected to serve on our board of directors. The future looks bright. We
now have a diverse board and that's important. I know you will work closely
with Denise to make certain there is a real sense of team-playing.

With warmest regards,

Kathy Davis

NFBF Past President
