Oh Joanne, I had no idea that you had lost your beloved daughter to cancer!
I am so very sorry! Truthfully I cannot imagine losing one of my children so
my heart aches for you. You have put together a wonderful letter to your
congressmen. What can we do to help?

 TO ALL THE US SENATORS

 My daughter, Susan, 38 years old was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, which is
the worst brain CANCER and one that is incurable.  She had 5 months of
suffering and pain and within 5 months later she died.
This is not the first time that she had CANCER.  When she was 3, she had
brain CANCER, called Medulloblastoma.  After surgery and 6 months of
radiation in Gainesville, Fl, we were able; to go home.  After 5 years of
going back for cat scans, she was declared cured.  From that time until she
was 37, she had to learn many things, one was memory.  She went through her
school experience as a special Ed student.  But despite   her learning
disability, she graduated with a diploma.    That was the happiest day of my
life to know that her struggle with being eligible for a diploma finally
came true. Even after graduating she had struggles in life, with having a
job, with being independent enough to leave home and have a life of her own.

In August of last year, she was diagnosed with Glioblastoma and the end of
January she died.  

While going with her for treatments and seeing the doctors every single time
with her, I met many patients who all had CANCER, not only once but at least
twice.  
Do you realize that you can ask anyone you meet, even on the street, and ask
them one question, do you know someone who had or has CANCER?  I can bet
almost anything that they will say yes and not one of them will say no.  
I am pleading with you to recognize CANCER as an epidemic.  For it is true,
it really is an epidemic.  
It is about time that the government gets involved with concentrating on
either a cure or what is necessary to kill the CANCER Cell that everyone is
born with. 
It is true that the CANCER cell is in every ones human body producing this
deadly disease called CANCER. Literally, millions of lives would be saved
including my daughter's.

Money is designated for other epidemics, but none as crucial as CANCER.
Please do whatever you have to do to get this plea on the agenda for calling
it what it is an epidemic and allocate money for a cure within the near
future. 
I know as well as you, that money is allocated for many other diseases but
not one is as serious as CANCER.  I can very easily put together a petition
practically overnight of thousands and thousands of supporters because each
one of them was touched by someone they know who died from CANCER.       
Just recently they discovered that babies born in the 80s and 90s has
unfortunately a greater chance of Colon CANCER.  The excuse they give is
that is because of diet.  Is that true?  It is up to all of you too be more
vigilant and concerned with not only that, but what about Lung CANCER,
prostate CANCER, skin CANCER, and many many more types   of CANCER. 
 Being cured of CANCER from a treatment or a drug is just a lucky chance of
being a temporary survivor of CANCER. In most cases CANCER will appear
again, mostly as a different type. Therefore, all the money to science for a
cure or treatment was definitely wasted, when a vaccine is the only answer
for science to develop.    
There are many web sites about CANCER.  But here is one that I wish everyone
would click on and learn a thing or two. WWW.The truth aboutCANCER.com  My
neighbor cured his sister of CANCER by a blood transfusion.  This discovery
was done by the M.D. Anderson CANCER Hospital in Texas.  Is this the first
step?  It is up to the government to pursue science to this search for a
permanent cure for this deadly disease for our family and friends.  
I am begging you to take this very serious and extremely important challenge
for the sake of our love ones. 

There are a lot of treatments and drugs used for treating CANCER but that is
not what I am asking.  We need to nip it in the bud and develop a prevention
of CANCER because a CANCER patient is lucky if one of the treatments
actually work. 
What we need is a vaccine, just like we have for measles, polio and so
forth.
Just remember that everyone is born with a CANCER cell in their body.  In
most cases, it develops during one's life.  This is where the vaccine comes
to play.  
Please investigate my plea yourselves and I am sure you will come to the
same conclusion, that a A Vaccine is the way to combat this deadly
condition. 
A lot of money from the government and CANCER victims of billions of dollars
could be used more successfully, if science would use all moneys not for a
cure or treatment but for a vaccination at birth. Like I said before, the
only goal is to nip it in the bud.
