On Monday, November 27th our Senators will be back in Washington D.C. Let us

Critical Actions Beginning Monday November 27, 2017:

Immediately following the Thanksgiving recess, the Senate will devote its
attention entirely to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, and it is crucial
that senate offices hear from us during this critical time. Please ask them
to leave the standard deduction for the blind in this senate bill.

Please call or email your two senators and urge them to cosponsor S. 732,
the Access Technology Affordability Act of 2017. Currently, there are three
cosponsors on the bill, Senators Cardin and Van Hollen from Maryland and
Senator Coons from Delaware.

On Thursday, November 16, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Senator Orrin
Hatch (R-UT) introduced the Accessible Instructional Materials in Higher
Education (AIM HIGH) Act (S. 2138) in the United States Senate. The
legislation will authorize the creation of voluntary guidelines to help
colleges and universities meet the needs of blind students and students with
other disabilities that make it difficult or impossible to read print.
Please contact your two senators to encourage them to cosponsor S. 2138.

Before Monday, I will be creating a template email and send it to the list.
If you email your Senators, please copy John Pare and Merry Schoch our
