The Voice Dream apps are on sale for 50% off.  For those that don’t know, Voice Dream is a suite of iPhone apps for the blind and visually impaired.  Writer is good for writing.  Voice Dream Reader can be used to read documents such as Word and PDF documents.  It can also be used to read BookShare books.  One that I use all of the time is Voice Dream Scanner.  That app allows one to read printed text from the camera or photos in your photo library.  An example of when you would read text from a photo is if there is a photo on FaceBook with text you can take a screenshot and read it with Voice Dream Scanner.
