Good Morning Everyone.
Please read the below from Jimmy Lovell. Jim is working hard on getting we
the blind accessible audible weather information as well as more descriptive
television shows and movies. It would be most helpful if you contacted some
of the Spectrum higher ups that Jim indicates below to express the necessity
of audible emergency alerts as well as described shows and movies on our
televisions. It takes a village so let's get busy and follow Jimmy's lead!
Have a blessed weekend.

Hello ladies;
Here is the email that Mr. Schell sent me on September 13 2018 about some of
the audio description regulations...this was over 1 year ago and there have
been some changes, but this is some of the basics.
I do not have the list nor do I have the position in the NFB to send this to
all members...so one of you will have to send the emails and this info to
the Florida NFB members.

Hello Mr. Lovell,
Very nice to speak to you today. Here are two links to two consumer guides
from my office. One explains the rules for audio description and includes
how the expanded hours of audio description work.
https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/video-description
And the second is a summary of the emergency information on TV rules and how
people who are blind or visually impaired must be able to listen to the
emergency information on the SAP.

Finally, here is a link with information about the upcoming emergency alert
system test and how to give feedback on what is observed during the test.
